**CHIC 2010: A New Era for Children's Fashion**
The CHIC 2010 event has become a significant platform for domestic children’s fashion brands, showcasing the latest trends and innovations in the industry. With a strong focus on growth and development, this year’s exhibition promises to be more dynamic than ever before. What can attendees expect from this year’s event?
One of the most notable changes is the expansion of the children’s wear section. Last year, the area was over 7,000 square meters, but this year it has grown to an impressive 11,000 square meters. Nearly 100 exhibitors are participating, making it the largest children’s wear pavilion in the history of CHIC. This increase not only reflects the growing interest in children’s fashion but also highlights the rising number of new brands entering the market.
Another exciting feature is the introduction of the **Cartoon Authorization Zone**, which brings together popular cartoon-themed brands such as Disney, Hongmeng, Harry Potter, Prince of Tennis, Journey to the West, Transformers, Strawberry Sweethearts, and Popeye. These brands will showcase their products through themed catwalks and storytelling scenes, creating a vibrant and immersive experience for visitors.
In addition to the cartoon zone, the sports children’s wear section is also making waves. Brands like NBA, r100, Li Ning, Prince of Tennis, Offside, and 361°Kids have all joined forces to create a "Noah’s Ark" of sportswear. With the rising demand for children’s sportswear driven by factors like the "baby boom" and increased awareness of health and fitness, this segment is expected to see a major boost in the coming years.
Some of the top domestic brands, including Trident, Parkland, Bakura, Water Babe, Frog Prince, and M&Q, are also making a strong showing. This year, the event features not just a variety of brands, but also unique elements like the "Dangdang Cat" school bus, which has captured the attention of many visitors.
CHIC 2010 also introduced the second edition of the “Top Ten Chinese Children’s Wear Brands†exhibition, where these leading brands presented a joint static display and a dynamic performance. The event also hosted the first-ever **International Children’s Wear Fashion Trends Exchange Conference**, organized by the China Garment Association and the Italian Constantine Fashion Design Group. This conference brought together global experts to discuss the future of children’s fashion.
Several multi-brand companies are also making their mark at the exhibition. For example, TOPBI, part of the Fujian Caimao Group, is joined by TOPSH and STILLO. Meanwhile, MIKYO (Big Eyed Frog), under the Hong Kong Mikai International Group, has brought along DDCAT, r100, and M&Q. These brands are not only gaining traction domestically but are also expanding internationally.
The Rongchong Dr. Frog Group, a long-time participant in CHIC, is expected to be one of the largest exhibitors this year. Their team, known for developing animation-related products, has successfully managed brands like Dr. Frog, Harry Potter, and Prince of Tennis. They are also planning to launch new overseas agents during the event.
In the children’s shoes category, brands like Bab Bean, Montagut, r100, Growth Footprints, Bubbegummers, Magic House, Y-ZONE, BALALA & GO FOR SPEED, CHIC&PEXX, and others are using CHIC as a key platform for brand expansion. This year’s event also includes a broader range of products, with children’s shoes and accessories now being showcased alongside traditional children’s wear.
Overall, CHIC 2010 is not just about fashion—it’s a celebration of innovation, creativity, and the bright future of the children’s wear industry. Whether you're a buyer, designer, or enthusiast, there’s something for everyone at this dynamic event.
