Introduction of bedding fabrics and carding

At present, combing and carding are often mentioned in bedding fabrics. What is combing and what is combing? Most Amoy friends don’t know much about it. Let me introduce this issue to you because I have been engaged in the home textile industry for many years. With special hobbies and feelings, I will post the posts about bed products, and I will post them later. I hope to help the Amoy friends who like bed products.

The cotton yarns we usually use are mainly combed and carded.

The combed yarn contains less impurities, less short fibers, more complete separation of the single fibers, and better balance of the fibers.

The carded yarn is mainly made of yarn and cotton blended yarn after the long-staple cotton is refined.

However, in the combed yarn, it is divided into many kinds according to the content of long-staple cotton. The main basis is the content of long-staple cotton. Therefore, the content of long-staple cotton should be considered when formulating the yarn standard.

Generally speaking, the content of combed yarn and long-staple cotton is basically between 30-40%. If you want to be more high-grade, you should specify the content of long-staple cotton in the yarn, generally 70-100. The % content, the price difference will be very large, the customer does not have special requirements, use 30-40% long-staple cotton, the other is determined separately.

Generally, 50 yarns and 60 yarns are generally 30-40% long-staple cotton, and 70 yarns or more long-staple cotton is generally between 80-100%. The carded yarn is mostly used for low-grade grey fabrics, mainly for 30 and 40 yarn counts. These varieties have great advantages in price compared with 50s\60s, and most of the occupiers market.
