Are you enjoying getting a sneak peek at all these upcoming projects? Over the last couple of days, we’ve had the chance to hear from two of the talented members of our Gallery Tunic + Dress sew-along team. Now, it's time to meet the third participant, Lori, whose exquisite sewing work has graced our blog before. The sew-along officially kicks off next Monday, and if you haven't grabbed your own copy of the pattern yet, there’s no better time than now to join us. Let’s take a look at what Lori has been working on for this event.

Hello everyone and welcome to the Gallery Tunic + Dress Sew-along!
Hi, I’m Lori from Missouri, where I’ve spent my entire life. My journey into sewing began way back in 7th grade during home economics class. We were tasked with making an apron, and after that, I was completely hooked. My mom was incredibly patient and supportive, always helping me unpick my mistakes until I got things right.
Currently, I’m proud to be part of the Mood Sewing Network and the IndieSew Blogger Team. It’s such an honor to be involved with these wonderful communities.
For my Gallery project, I decided to go with the tunic version, complete with long sleeves, cuffs, and a collar. I’m using a beautiful Donna Karan rayon fabric sourced from Mood Fabrics, paired with some buttons I already had in my stash. I also plan to incorporate a floral fabric that complements the rayon well, possibly using it for the cuff lining.
Happy sewing to all of you!

Just a quick note to say how much I love being part of this community. Sewing has been such a fulfilling hobby for me over the years, and I’m thrilled to share my creations with others. If you’re new to sewing or looking to improve your skills, feel free to reach out—I’d be happy to help. There’s always something new to learn, whether it’s mastering a tricky technique or experimenting with different fabrics.
Looking forward to seeing everyone’s progress during the sew-along. Don’t forget to tag your photos with #GallerySewAlong so we can follow along with your projects! Until then, keep those needles moving and enjoy the process. Happy stitching!
