Microfiber synthetic leather safety technical conditions standards will be implemented

From October 1, 2010, Shandong Tongda Island New Materials Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Tongda Island Company), which was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, is the industry standard "General Purpose Safety of Polyurethane Microfiber Synthetic Leather". Technical conditions "QB/T4046-2010 will be implemented.

Solve industry standard bottlenecks

Shandong Tongda Island New Materials Co., Ltd. is the ultra-fiber leather manufacturing enterprise with the strongest technical strength, the largest variety of products and the largest market share in China. In September 2006, the work meeting meeting was held at the same island company to formulate the "General Safety Technical Conditions for Polyurethane Microfiber Synthetic Leather". The preliminary planning of the drafting work, the progress and the division of labor, and the drafting of standards were established. group. The group consists of the same island company, Weifang City Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Institute.

The standard drafting team consulted a large number of domestic and foreign materials of related products, selected test samples of various specifications and uses representing production levels, and conducted inspection and verification at the same island company and Weifang City Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Institute. , completed the development of the draft standard.

In December 2006, the standard drafting group sent the draft standard (standard draft for comments) to all relevant units for comments and finalization of the standard for review. On April 22, 2010, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology officially approved the standard.

The issuance and implementation of the standard solved the standard technical bottleneck problem in the development of industry norms, and also broke the monopoly of foreign technology and trade barriers, which is conducive to standardizing the production and process control of each enterprise, and is more conducive to upgrading the grade of products. , competitiveness and standardization management level.

Standards focus on safety

This standard mainly specifies the safety grade, safety technical conditions and test methods of polyurethane microfiber synthetic leather.

Polyurethane microfiber synthetic leather products are classified into three categories according to their safety level: baby products, direct contact with skin products, and non-direct contact with skin products. Classification according to safety level, it can better meet the environmental performance requirements of products, meet the actual production assessment and use requirements, and also better reflect and distinguish the use of products and precautions for use.

The standard proposes 11 safety technical conditions and experimental methods:

1. pH value: The pH value is determined according to GB/T7573. Weigh 2 ± 0.05 g of the sample, cut it into a 1 cm × 1 cm sample, add 100ml distilled water or deionized water, shake on a shaker for 1 hour, measured with the second and third water extract The average value of the pH was taken as the final result, and the result was accurate to 0.05.

2. Formaldehyde content: Formaldehyde content is carried out according to GB/T2912.1. It is used to simulate the quantitative determination of formaldehyde released from fabrics during human body wear. The accurately weighed sample is extracted in a 40 ° C water bath for a certain period of time, the formaldehyde extracted from the fabric is absorbed by water, and then the extract is colored with acetylacetone, and the coloring liquid is determined by spectrophotometer colorimetric determination of formaldehyde content. .

3. Extractable heavy metals: Extractable heavy metals are carried out according to GB/T17593, and heavy metals are extracted by artificial acid sweat, of which hexavalent chromium is carried out with reference to SN0704. The heavy metals restricted in the standard are antimony, arsenic, lead, cadmium, chromium, chromium (hexavalent), cobalt, copper, nickel, and mercury. Once absorbed by the human body, these heavy metals will accumulate to a certain amount and will cause skin and liver. The kidney, heart, brain, bones and nervous system, endocrine system produce toxicity, which causes great harm to human health. In particular, infants and young children have greater absorption capacity for heavy metals than adults.

4. Decomposable aromatic amine dyes: Decomposable aromatic amine dyes (azo dyes) are carried out according to GB/T19942, carcinogenic dyes are carried out according to GB/T20382, and sensitizing dyes are carried out according to GB/T20383.

The azo dye refers to a dye having at least one azo group in the chemical structural formula. After the use of banned azo dyes in textiles, in long-term contact with the human body, the dye can be absorbed by the skin and spread in the human body. Under the biochemical reaction conditions of normal metabolism of the human body, these dyes will undergo a reduction reaction to cleave the carcinogenic aromatic amine, and through a series of activation changes the DNA structure and function of the human cells, causing human pathological changes or inducing cancer.

A carcinogenic dye is a dye that induces cancer in a human body without chemical changes such as reduction.

Sensitizing dyes are those dyes that are easily removed from the fibers after dyeing and cause damage to the skin, causing skin irritation.

5. Color fastness to water: The color fastness to water is carried out according to GB/T5713. The textile sample is adhered to one or two of the specified lining fabrics, immersed in water, squeezed out of moisture, placed between the two plates of the test device, and subjected to the specified pressure. The dry sample and the lining fabric were evaluated for discoloration of the sample and staining of the lining fabric using a gray sample card.

6. Color fastness to acid and alkali perspiration: Color fastness to acid and alkali perspiration is carried out according to GB/T3922. The textile sample is attached to one or two of the specified lining fabrics, placed in acidic and alkaline simulated sweat, and the test solution is removed, placed in the middle of the two plates of the test device, and subjected to a prescribed pressure. The dry sample and the lining fabric were evaluated for discoloration of the sample and staining of the lining fabric using a gray sample card.

7. Color fastness to dry and wet rubbing: Color fastness to dry and wet rubbing is performed according to GB/T3920. The samples were rubbed with dry and wet rubbing cloths respectively, and the stains of the rubbing cloth were evaluated with a gray sample card.

8. Color fastness to saliva: The color fastness to saliva is performed according to GB/T18886. The textile sample is attached to one or two pieces of the prescribed lining fabric, placed in artificial saliva, and the test solution is removed, placed in the middle of the two plates of the test device, and subjected to a predetermined pressure. The dry sample and the lining fabric were evaluated for discoloration of the sample and staining of the lining fabric using a gray sample card.

9. Determination of abnormal odor: Put the sample in a clean test environment without abnormal odor, let the trained and qualified professionals judge the odor, the test should be within 24 hours after the sample is obtained. carry out.

10. Determination of flame retardant: The purpose of flame retardant finishing is to protect the human body, but some flame retardants are harmful to the human body, such as PBB, TRIS, TEPA, etc., the flame retardant can be used by SN/T1851-2006. Test to determine if the flame retardant used meets the standard requirements.

11. Determination of harmful surfactant (APEO): The sample is extracted by Soxhlet extractor. After concentration and concentration, the sample is determined by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry. The external standard method is used to quantify the sample and the standard sample. Retention time and characteristic ions are characterized.
