In recent days, a surge of buyers from Hong Kong has been visiting China Textile City, eager to secure fabrics for their garment production. The demand has been steadily rising, and the supply volume is starting to feel the pressure. As the next wave of garment manufacturing continues, several key fabric types such as "Dita Fu," semi-gloss "Lightweight Spinning," "Beautiful Silk," "Shu Mei Satin," "Satin," "Five Satin," and "Eight Satin" are seeing increased activity. With varying bulk sizes across these products, prices have adjusted accordingly.
Previously, larger orders were more common, with goods widely distributed in popular specifications like 63D × 63DFDY and 210T "Dita Fu." However, in the past few days, the flow of customers has been more active, and some fabrics have shown signs of price increases. For bulk orders of tens of thousands of meters, the price has remained around 2.80 yuan per meter, and even when businesses refuse to lower it, it's still acceptable. For smaller batches, say a few thousand meters, the asking price has climbed to about 2.90 yuan per meter. Even if customers are willing to pay that, sometimes the goods just don't arrive on time.
The Lilium cloth section, particularly "Dita Fu," has seen fewer purchases recently, making the market less active. Larger batches are now being offered at slightly lower prices than before, while smaller orders have seen a price increase of approximately 0.05 to 0.10 yuan per meter.
In the last few days, Libo cloth has been handling large quantities of "Dita Fu" orders, mostly delivered in bulk. Some customers who are in a hurry are looking for regular or informal varieties to fill small orders, and they’re willing to pay a premium for it.
Lime cloth, which previously had smaller orders for "Shumei Satin," is now seeing virtual price cuts, leading to some confusion in the market. Demand is picking up, and most buyers are requiring urgent delivery.
For lining fabrics like "Lightweight Spinning" and "Beautiful Silk," many are currently out of stock. To meet urgent demands, some suppliers have raised prices slightly, but there are still numerous customers waiting for shipments. Overall, the textile market is showing signs of tightening supply and increasing demand, with prices fluctuating based on order size and urgency.
