This year, the planting area of ​​machine harvested cotton in Changji Prefecture accounted for 35.5% of the total sown area, reaching 412,000 acres. At present, mechanized picking is in full swing and picking progress continues to accelerate. This year, the autonomous region invested more than 10 million yuan to establish a high-yield cotton production, promoted technologies such as drip irrigation under the membrane, formula fertilization by soil testing, comprehensive prevention and control of diseases and pests, and trained more than one million farmers of all ethnic groups to ensure cost-effective production of cotton production. . The rate of fine cotton varieties in Xinjiang has reached more than 95%, cotton high density cultivation area has reached 100%, and cotton with drip irrigation under the membrane has accounted for 35% of the total planting area, laying the foundation for the high yield of farmers' harvest.

At the same time, with the advent of the cotton acquisition processing period, the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Fiber Inspection Bureau has made arrangements for the supervision of cotton acquisition and processing. The Fiber Inspection Bureau of the autonomous region requires that fiber inspection agencies at all levels must establish and implement cotton quality control. Responsibility system strictly fulfills the function of cotton quality supervision and inspection, and supervises the whole process of cotton circulation in terms of acquisition, processing, storage, and sales. This year, the coverage rate of cotton inspections in Xinjiang's new system should reach over 80%, and the new system should be fully implemented within the two cotton years.
